About Uplifted Families

Uplifted Families is a youth-led, faith-inspired nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-resourced families across Washington, DC and Maryland. We believe that every family deserves compassion, dignity, and hope — and we work to make that a reality through community service, educational support, and resource-driven programs.

Founded by young leaders with a heart for service, Uplifted Families grew out of a simple belief: when we uplift families, we uplift entire communities. Guided by our values of faith, compassion, and community care, we create opportunities for families to access support that strengthens their well-being and empowers their future.

We partner with schools, churches, and local organizations to identify real needs within our community and respond with practical, meaningful help. Our programs — including our Family Resource Guide, educational assistance, donation drives, and outreach efforts — are designed to meet families where they are and offer support that truly makes a difference.

As a youth-driven initiative, we bring fresh energy, empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges families face. We are committed to serving with integrity, kindness, and purpose, believing that small acts of care can spark lasting change.
